This Privacy Policy describes our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use the Noor: Goal & Habit Tracker mobile application (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Service where applicable.
Information Collection and Use
We collect and use information only as needed to provide and improve the Service. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Types of Data Collected
Personal Data. We do not require an account to use Noor. Core features—including daily challenges and streak tracking—work without sign-in. If you contact us (e.g., for support), we may receive personally identifiable information you choose to provide, such as your email address, which we use only to respond to you.
Usage and Device Data. When you access the Service on a mobile device, we may receive limited technical information (e.g., device type, operating system) as part of normal operation or through our service providers. We do not track your activity across other apps or websites for advertising.
Data Stored on Your Device. Completion and streak data (e.g., which challenges you completed and your streak counts) are stored only on your device. We do not collect or store this data on our servers. If you delete the app or your device data, this information is removed accordingly.
Goals, Habits, Journal, and Journey Data. When you use features such as goals, habits, journal entries, vision boards, or journey planning, you may enter text such as your goal description, destination, timeline, story, or other content. This data may be used to provide the Service and, when you use AI-powered features, may be sent to our AI provider as described below.
AI-Generated Content and Data Shared with Anthropic
When you use the feature that generates a personalized 7-step action plan, we send your goal text, destination, timeline, and story to Anthropic (Claude AI) to generate that plan. Anthropic processes this data to provide AI-generated content and may retain it in accordance with their privacy policy. What we collect and send. For AI-powered features, we may collect and send to Anthropic the data you provide, such as your goal text, destination, timeline, story, and related content (e.g., habits or journal text you choose to use with these features). We send this data solely to generate personalized insights and your 7-step action plan.
Provider data protection. Anthropic is contractually required to protect your data in a manner consistent with applicable data protection requirements and to use it only to provide the AI-generated content to you. Their processing is governed by their privacy policy linked above, which provides comparable protections for your data.
Use of Data
Noor uses the collected data only for purposes such as: to provide and maintain the Service; to generate personalized insights and AI-generated content (e.g., your 7-step action plan) via our AI provider; to manage subscriptions (e.g., via RevenueCat); to provide customer care when you contact us; to detect, prevent, and address technical issues; and to improve the Service.
Transfer of Data
Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to and maintained on computers or services (e.g., RevenueCat, Apple, Anthropic) located outside your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction, where data protection laws may differ. Your consent to this Privacy Policy and your use of the Service represent your agreement to that transfer. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Disclosure of Data
We may disclose your Personal Data where we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to: comply with a legal obligation; protect and defend our rights or property; prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service; protect the personal safety of users or the public; or protect against legal liability.
Security of Data
The security of your data is important to us. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Service Providers
We may use third-party companies and individuals to facilitate the Service (e.g., to perform Service-related functions or to analyze usage). These third parties have access to your data only to perform those tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Subscriptions (RevenueCat and Apple). If you subscribe to Noor Pro, subscription processing is handled by RevenueCat and the Apple App Store. RevenueCat may collect information necessary to manage your subscription (e.g., purchase tokens, subscription status). We do not receive or store your payment card details; those are processed by Apple and RevenueCat. Their privacy practices are governed by their respective privacy policies.
AI (Anthropic). As described in the section "AI-Generated Content and Data Shared with Anthropic" above, we send certain data (e.g., goal text, destination, timeline, story) to Anthropic to generate personalized insights and your 7-step action plan. Anthropic is bound by contractual and policy obligations that provide data protection comparable to our commitments in this Privacy Policy.
Links to Other Sites
The Service may contain links to other sites not operated by us. If you click a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site. We advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content or privacy practices of any third-party sites or services.
Children’s Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information.
By using our app and making in-app purchases, you consent to our sharing of data regarding your usage and consumption of purchased content with Apple when necessary to resolve refund requests. This may include details about how you have accessed and used the purchased content. We ensure that such sharing is done in compliance with Apple’s policies and only as necessary to process your requests.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the effective date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes are effective when posted on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
